Jean-Marie Lehn, PhD, Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board
Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn is a founder of NormOxys. He holds the Chair of Chemistry of Molecular Interactions at the College de France in Paris and is the Director of the Laboratory of Supramolecular Chemistry at the University of Strasbourg. For his work in supramolecular chemistry, Prof. Lehn was awarded the 1987 Nobel Prize in Chemistry (with Charles Pederson and Donald J. Cram.) He is the author of more than 800 scientific publications. Prof. Lehn was a co-founder of Alantos, Inc., Heidelberg/Cambridge, MA, and of AC Immune SA, Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a member of the Academie de Sciences (Paris), the National Academy of Sciences of the U.S. (Washington, DC), and the Royal Society (London). Under Prof. Lehn's direction, NormOxys' lead compound, OXY111A, a novel allosteric effctor of hemoglobin, was identified and characterized.
